"Claiming an Education" pointed out many important things about women's roles at college. I didn't agree with all of them however. I feel that college has changed a lot and as a women, I very rarely feel that there is sexism in my classes. In my physics class, I am the only girl with about 20 male classmates. Even though I am the only female in that classroom, no one talks down to me and they treat me like an equal. This would have been a great story to use in my project because it was about the different experiences of males and females at college. I personally agree when she says that women need to stop acting dumb and speak up. There are men out there that truly believe women are not as great as them, but the only way to beat that attitude is to work as hard as we can and show that we can do anything that a man can.

I was in group 2:

These two exerts that I read, were really interesting and kinda creepy how true it is. It is amazing to think that people all over are having such similar experiences that it can be put in a book and relate to millions of people. That is the one most fascinating things about college is that there are millions of people out there going through the exact same things. I loved everything that they had to say. I know living with someone else can be stressful and that it is a new experience that everyone needs to get used to. I have realized that not many people are best friends with their roommate and that its perfectly normal. I mean i wouldn't want to live with me in a tiny room either. Also, it made me think that maybe I should decorate my room. I also agree with getting your hardest work done in a library. I personally like to study in my room the best but, it is hard to stay focused and spread out. Eating with big groups is really hard as it says. I mostly just eat by myself or with one or two friends because it is really hard to organize a big gathering. Again, it just really blows my mind that there are millions of people going through the exact same things as me.
